How to use it?
1. Fill the scoop with coffee powder
2. Put the filter cup on the top of the scoop, and pour the coffee powder into it
3. Put back the filter on the top of the main body
4. Screw tightly the outlet head into the main body
5. Add boiling water into the water cup
6. Screw tightly the main body onto the water cup
7. Unlock the piston by rotating it to the left
8. Hold the mini espresso maker above the cup and start to pump
9. The first 6 strokes will fill the filter cup with water. Continue to pump it until the coffee comes out

Everett Frank Confusing to use at first. But, great product. I just use cheap espresso, level off the grinds without patting it down too much, screw it together, fill the water tank, and start pressing it out. It doesn't quite do a shot, but I'll go ahead and press another tank through and it yields a nice little strong cup of coffeespresso. Then I add a little half ounce shot of creamer to it and it's good to go. Then you just take the cap off, take out the espresso pod, wipe it out with your finger real quick, and rinse it with water. Besides being hard to keep your espresso warm, this is a great device which is compact and easy to pack with the little non perishable creamers to take in a bag to work or school, on trips, or especially back packing where size matters. I have noticed the top is an oval an the espresso cap doesn't really snap on so if you buy this you 100% run the risk of having to return it to get a good one. Kind of sad with how expensive these are. But I personally have had a good experience with it. I think I've owned this for a year now.
Nichole Nelson Roberta Pratt Love this espresso maker! Bought this as a supplement to my Chemex and am glad I did. This is super quick and easy. I do wish the cleanup was a little easier since water gets trapped inside the head after each use, but still a great product. I bring this to the office and use it on a daily basis. We have two other automatic machines here, both of which make espresso, and I prefer this one. Be sure to use really hot water because it cools down quite a bit when it passes through the portable coffee maker. I found running hot water through a cycle first not only helps the coffee retain more heat, but also creates a much thicker crema. Make sure you have the right beans though if you really want to get the most out of it. I am thoroughly enjoying this portable coffee maker and would recommend it as a supplement to a traditional coffee maker.
Melissa West We don't travel with this, rather, we just use it at home for an espresso shot needed here and there. It is a bit fussy to make two in a row with the rinsing between but it yields delicious shots of espresso so it's worth it.
Johnnie Cook I just need to express how obsessed I am with this espresso machine. I was so sick of either buying terrible coffee at dunkin or starbucks or over paying at local coffee shops. This has saved me from late nights, early mornings and mid-day sleepies at work. I recommend this to anyone who is a bit of a coffee snob or just doesn't feel like paying for over priced joe everyday. This would also just be a cool gift to a coffee lover for sure.
Stella Huff This works so well for camping for a quick coffee craving! Took this camping over the weekend and used it few times at the office. Depending on the grinds you use, its good for a light single espresso shot or if you reuse the same grinds and purge three capfuls of water through the filter, you'll get a full cup of coffee. Works great without lugging a glass press around in your backpacking or camp gear! Some folks probably won't like having to pump and "work" this much for coffee, but convenience in form factor and size are the strongest attributes this unit has to offer. Easy to clean and store away with the retractable priming handle. My only gripe with this is the drink cup is just pressed in and can knocked off easily while the water reserve cup is nicely twisted on with locking detents.
Dewey Tucker We use this in our tiny home since we no longer have room for a larger espresso machine. It works most excellent. We love it. A nice clean shot of espresso with a decent crema, and sometimes even nicer. It is quite precise, so you have little room for error. However, when you get the variables all right, it's going to give you a nice shot of espresso. Considering what it is and what it takes to make it work, this little device is amazing.
Lance Clark I saw a review on YouTube by a claimed (who knows, probably true) professional but that scared me into getting a return... HOWEVER, I also just got some light roast Jamaican Blue Mountain and I decided to put the solid positive reviews here to the test. OH WOW. It works. It works really well. The pump is a bit tricky at first but once you figure it out, your life will change for the better. I also got a pound of light roast Kona, which hasn't arrived yet....I haven't been this excited about coffee since I tried my first cup of Kona years ago. No more Keurig! No more gas station coffee! I can have an Americano on my way to work. With some Brahms quartets playing, and the seat heater on. Quality of life spike. I'm sure that professional barista works with a thousand dollar machine, or is paid by a competitor, but he was not fair with his review. This product may as well be made of gold for what it's worth to me. PERFECT GIFT for a coffee lover, even if they are not fans of espresso; Americano is super easy to make (literally a shot or two of espresso in a cup of hot water) and more like a regular cup of coffee, just much, much tastier.
Cody Roy Totally worth it! I've been using it almost every day at the office, and spreading the love with some of my coworkers. Removing the ground coffee can be a bit messy. (I'd imagine the Nespress capsule would make that process cleaner). Pumping more than 2 cups can be a bit of work (so be selective if you are making a cup for your friends). Tip: use a couple of napkins for the "work area" for ease of clean-up. Be near the tap so you can rinse the filter after use.
Kelli Perkins Wow.. such a great product. Instructions were clear, though the last step might want to include “invert assembly and then pump” because I was confused for about 30 seconds when nothing happened. Also, kind of a good workout before your coffee as the pumping action will get your forearms going, but maybe I’m just weak.. Paired the maker with Illy medium roast espresso ground was the best.. even better when pumped into warm milk to make that elusive cortado with creme. Oh and I second the comments about not tamping the grounds. Maybe just a light tap with the scoop to flatten it out and you’re good. Love the espresso it makes so far. Ugh.. within the first 24 hours I made about 6 shots and enjoyed every one. I hope the product keeps up with daily, continued use. I’m always looking forward to my next coffee. I did add the extended warranty because why not.
Vernon Romero I am going to have to give this little thing 5 stars because it is just so freaking awesome. Yes, it has some hang ups...like the plunger sticks every once in a while and the final product isn't lip searingly hot. But..if you stop to take a look at the reality of the brilliance behind this product You can over look some small mechanical issues. I use this little jewel everyday and make everyone extremely jealous at work. I might as well be a sorcerer when I pull this thing out. It makes a perfectly delicious, creamy shot of espresso that has made me the popular kid at work. The instructions that come with it are spot on and easy to follow. The whole little system is compact and is easy to tote around. Work coffee is horrible but this is a game changer. So easy to use and makes a great little shot of espresso.
