My chairs have high arms so regular height tables were out of the question and I needed the item to be fairly narrow to go between two chairs. It's a compressed board with veneer. It takes some flexing of the metal frame to line up the holes between the frame and the wood parts. Some concerns about P45... All in all, I like it a lot.

This piece was easy to put together and is very sturdy, it does not look cheap and has lots of room for books and a plant, also a basket for remotes that used to be in the drawer on my last table.
