Perform side-to-side, front-to-back, stretch & circular drills. Also, balance board adds more challenges to your workout, which helps you to increase your balance, functionality and visual sense.
Using balance board can engage and train stabilizing muscles of your back, abdominal, hips, legs and ankles thus help to reduce back pain, improve posture, leg strength and ankle range of motion. Great to use after leg, knee, angle injury and surgery to boost the rehabilitation and reduce the risk of re-injuries.
The wider oval design over a standard circle gives you a wider stance which can help improve your balance (especially for bigger or taller people), while the slip-resistant surface improves your foot control and stability when barefoot or wearing shoes.

This one tops the list, when you go on a lot of places now, you see all sorts of home equipment and you also see outrageous prices. Not here. This baby is all you need for core and stability work, it's durable and it's within your budget. Picked one up for my daughter who lives in California, I'm on mine as a fit 69 year old. I'm gonna beat coronavirus via fitness.
I really like the oval shape. It gives more room for the side to side placement of feet. I have been using it for about 5 minutes daily since receiving it and feel it has really helped my balance! Also it I can use it to provide a great stretch to my muscles by lowering an end to the ground and holding or lowering the edges to the ground following the oval shape. I also have used it with a straight arm plank for some variety. I am very pleased with the quality of this balance device!! Thanks!
Besides helping with overall carriage and self balance as well as strengthening of the deeper muscles closer to the skeleton, being a competing dressage rider I especially looked for a gear helping with overall body strength and balance regarding the riders seat. This board helps significantly with a strong and balanced seat when using it frequently and for a long enough time. I bought it for by the way use when working since we can adjust our tables to being at a standing height. While standing on the board when working, my body stays active and besides assisting my overall health due to not sitting 8+ hours a day but btw exercising lightly, it keeps up circulation as well as tiny muscle contractions. Thanks to exactly those tiny contractions of the deeper muscles to stabilize yourself constantly, a riders seat gets noticeably stronger and stable, resulting in a quite quick improvement of accuracy and might of the overall seat since the body seems gain flexibility as well as „inter and intra independence“ of legs and arms. Thus, to finally conclude: not only a great tool for people working in an office (best with the possibility of standing), but also and especially for riders of all kinds!
About a year ago I began using a standup desk in an effort to become more fit and healthy. As a 60-year-old man I noticed my balance was declining and that there was a decrease in strength in my ankles. In an effort to combat this I opted to try this product. After 1 week I noticed a considerable improvement in balance and started to detect an increase in strength in the ankles. I am very optimistic and pleased and feel after continued use there will be further improvement as well as with the core muscles. Being able to achieve some degree of fitness while standing and doing work is a major plus to me.
I’m using this product as a fun way to increase balance and core strength. The oval shape allow you to place your feet on the narrowest two edges to get used to the balancing concept. You can place your feet on the longer, oblong edges for a slightly more challenging option. The package comes with a sheet showing various poses, including a one footed balance pose - perhaps something to work towards for you overachievers out there!
I used one of these a year ago in PT. When I came across this in a Facebook ad it peaked my interest. I plan to use it for both stability and also mobility. I have an ankle that doesn’t have as much dorsiflexion as I’d like. So I plan to use it for some ankle stretches too. My initial impressions after trying it upon arrival is that it is sturdy and will meet my needs. I like that it’s oval vs circle for more versatility too.
I love this little number. It took some time for my body to figure it out, but that’s the point. Well made and very sturdy. Unlike me. I’m 88 years old and dumber than a hat, but this little device seems to help.
I got this board to get the most out of my resistance band training and I’m not disappointed. I’m not yet able to perform my workouts while on the board but after 3 days I can feel my balance increasing my core muscle fatigue decreasing. It’s very challenging for me and I love that. The only thing I didn’t particularly like was the sandpaper grip. I like to workout barefoot and I didn’t feel comfortable using my bands on an abrasive surface, so I took an upholstery carpet and glued it on top of my board. I still have enough traction to not slip off my board and it’s a lot easier on my feet. I strongly prefer this board over other boards because of the width. I’m a able to do more exercises than a standard 15.5 in board. Also, this board is very sturdy. I weigh 280 lbs and this board hasn’t groaned once. I love this board and it will continue to be a tool in my fitness arsenal.
